Where I've Been

by - August 31, 2016

I apologize darlings for being gone for so long, life has really taken a whole new turn. To think, the last time I posted anything was about two months ago! My how life has changed since then… Where shall I begin?

Perhaps I should begin by trying to remember what was going on in my life back in July. My life, in two words, has been tres chaotique! Just as of right now I write to you in my small mew apartment located so close to downtown. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves.

July was a hectic month, I don’t think I ever really stayed at my then home for more than a couple hours. I had turned into such a social butterfly over the Spring and Summer, it’s crazy to think about. Between staying out until 4am to go to a boys cabin and swim in a river, to driving up to Germantown for a birthday road trip… it’s all been so crazy- or I’m sorry- tres chaotique.

I can get into detail about all the stories of July later, but let’s get to August.

In August, much like July, I escaped my laptop and lived in the adventure of the moment. That’s something I highly recommend. Though I have missed blogging so much, which probably has something to do with me literally just finishing this wonderful book called Being Audrey Hepburn. It’s a must read, something I’ll also talk about later. I have so much planned for this little corner of the internet that I call mine.

But again, back to August. I apologize for getting off track, there’s just so much to say! But to begin, I traveled down to Hilton Head Island again for a much needed two weeks vacation. On day one, I had already decided I would make it my goal to come down here for a week with friends next August. I did so much but also weirdly so little while spending 6 hours a day on the beach itself. Now I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy my time or that I didn’t do amazing things, because I did, but I spent a lot of time on the beach! I’m extraordinarily tan.

After my two weeks there, I quickly said hello to my friends then moved into my new apartment! I’m settled here in Clifton and let me just tell you, I’m so happy I moved. It’s just me and my cat now, in a small one bedroom apartment. And already there’s a “love affair” with my male neighbor who lives right by me. I’m practically living a much less glamorous scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Which basically explains my family room at the moment. It’s a total homage to anything Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. You could think I’m lying but just on my couch are three Breakfast at Tiffany’s/Audrey Hepburn related books next to my Tiffany’s box and bag on my side table. And if I look closer at the side table, three more books including Breakfast at Tiffany’s itself. And that’s just the things against one wall. I didn’t even mention the Tiffany Blue lamp I bought from Walmart…

I promise to eventually start my YouTube page up again, and will give you an apartment tour once things are more finished. I barely even have electric in my name yet, so this is all still very fresh. Once I have wifi in my apartment, I’ll post this the second I let the Cincinnati Bell man out.

I’ve missed you all dearly, and thank you for reading this rambly thing. I have big plans ahead! You won’t want to miss.
